Belen won its first FHSAA state championship in 2023 (Class 5A, beating Daytona Beach Mainland 49-30). That season it also won its first district title in 17 years and its first-ever regional title, and was ranked No. 1 in 5A. In 2025 it reached the Alpha Invitational final.
